On Sunday 7th March 2010, at the NALEDI AWARDS, celebrating theatrical productions staged in Gauteng during 2009, Joburg Theatre productions took home three awards from a total of seventeen nominations:

TIMOTHY LE ROUX won in the category of Best Comedy Performance: Play / Musical / Revue (Male) for his hilarious portrayal of the Dame, Arletti Spaghetti, in the pantomime PINOCCHIO.

SBU RADEBE won in the category of Best Performance in a Musical (Male) for his lovable portrayal of the title role Pinocchio in the pantomime PINOCCHIO.

The evening’s premier award of the category of Best Production of a Musical was won by PINOCCHIO: Produced by Bernard Jay for Joburg Theatre; written and directed by Janice Honeyman.
